PlayCity Revoked the License of One of Ukraine’s Largest Casinos

PlayCity revoked the license of “Spacix” LLC, which operates under the Cosmolot brand. The regulator itself announced this.

It is noted that the decision was based on violations of legal requirements regarding payment processing—specifically, the use of P2P payments—that were identified during an inspection.

In addition, the regulator fined the company 8.6 million UAH for conducting transactions using P2P payments, and another 4.3 million UAH for allowing account top-ups via third-party bank cards.

“A gambling license requires compliance with statutory requirements. Our task is to ensure continuous and transparent oversight of licensees so that the market operates under uniform rules for all participants,” emphasized PlayCity CEO Gennady Novikov.

It should be noted that the brand “Spacix” LLC received a new license to operate in Ukraine just this year. It was issued for a term of 5 years. According to Ukrainian law, if the regulator fines a brand two times, this constitutes grounds for revoking the license.
