Google will abandon its Assistant in favor of Gemini

Google plans to completely abandon its Assistant and replace it with Gemini by the end of 2025.

According to the company’s blog, in the coming months, Google will update Assistant to Gemini in its smartphones. And then it is planned to completely remove the Assistant app from mobile app stores. It will also disappear from cars, headphones, and watches. 

The official reason for this decision is that the technology is outdated. Google released Assistant in 2016. It was relevant then. But now, according to Western media, when AI is taking over the market, the company is trying to move on. For now, Assistant is still available for most users of Google products.
