Ukraine will begin issuing licenses for online casino operations: what is known about this

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution on licensing conditions in the field of gambling. 

The license terms define the procedure and exhaustive list of documents required to obtain licenses, as well as the mandatory requirements for operating in the industry. 

This means that PlayCity will now be able to start issuing new licenses for online casino operations. 

What is required to obtain a license under the new licensing conditions?

• an impeccable business reputation
• no ties to an aggressor state;
• implementation of all necessary responsible gaming mechanisms.

These requirements apply not only to those who are just going to apply for a license, but also to existing licensees on the market. 

In case of non-compliance with the requirements, gambling organizers may be subject to sanctions in the form of fines or license revocation.

These rules have not been in place since the liquidation of the CRAIL, so many casinos would not be able to operate legally in Ukraine even if they wanted to. Therefore, we can expect several new casinos to appear in the near future.
