Facebook changes monetization policy for users

Meta has announced changes to the content monetization process for Facebook users.

The company plans to combine three existing monetization programs for content creators into one. Now, creators on Facebook can join only one monetization program and receive money for two or three types of content. 

“With Facebook Content Monetization, creators only have to join one monetization program. From there, they can monetize multiple formats and track their performance with a single set of statistics, making it easy to make money from our range of available content formats,” Meta explained.

This week, Meta is launching beta testing of a new content monetization process. One million users of the social network will take part in the test phase. Invited creators can join the test on the monetization tab of the professional dashboard on a mobile device or Meta Business Suite on a computer.
