OpenAI has declared the dawn of the era of superintelligence and proposed a plan to restructure the economy: What is known

OpenAI has published a 13-page document titled “Industrial Policy for the Age of Intelligence,” in which it announces humanity’s transition to superintelligence.

When referring to superintelligence, the term denotes systems capable of outperforming the most intelligent humans. OpenAI proposes a comprehensive program to help society adapt to this transformation. Additionally, the document includes containment protocols for dangerous AI models.

One of the key initiatives is the creation of a public welfare fund, through which every citizen would receive a share of the economic growth generated by AI.   

The company also calls for:

• Pilot projects for a 32-hour workweek 
• The introduction of portable social guarantees not tied to a specific employer
• Ensuring the right to access AI as basic infrastructure (such as electricity or the internet)

Regarding taxation:

• OpenAI suggests reducing the tax burden on workers and offsetting this by increasing taxes on capital and corporate profits. 
• It also envisions automatic social safety net mechanisms that would be activated in the event of mass displacement of workers by artificial intelligence.
