Instagram will introduce anonymous story viewing: What we know so far

In Japan, Mexico, and the Philippines, Meta is testing a paid subscription service called Instagram Plus, which allows users to view Stories anonymously — and more.

In fact, the additional features related to viewing Stories are what interest the audience the most. They say that now the authors won’t be able to see that you viewed their Stories. In addition to this, you’ll be able to track how many times a particular person has re-viewed your Story.

What else is known about Instagram Plus?

• Advanced audience settings. We’re used to seeing Stories “for everyone” and “close friends,” which are visible only to users you’ve selected. Now, you’ll be able to create an unlimited number of groups (similar to “close friends”) and choose exactly who to show a particular post to;
• Convenient and fast search for specific users based on who viewed your Stories;
• They plan to extend the duration of Stories by another 24 hours;
• You’ll also be able to pin one story per week to your profile so it stays visible to your audience longer;
• If you’re tired of regular red hearts, you’ll now be able to give animated likes;

Meta says that Instagram Plus is geared toward bloggers and businesses. They say the price could range from $1 to $2 per month, though it will depend on the region.
