The law has caught up with Spanish casino operators: the country has started to fine gambling projects

In Spain, 13 online casino operators were fined a total of 77.4 million euros. 

The 14 unlucky ones include: Wot NV, Magicwin games tech LTD, Winbet NV, Spicyjactpos games tech LTS, Lama tech limited, Chestoption limited liability company, Pennytech holding BV, Group gaem BV, Mibs NV, Fgs software solutions SRL, Investan NV, Tinietech holding BV, Adonio NV, and Techsolutions group NV.  

13 of them received fines of 5 million euros for “very serious” violations of Spanish gambling laws due to unlicensed activities, but there was one unidentified operator that was fined as much as 10 million euros. 

In its recent press release, the regulator stated: “These sanctions reflect the DGOJ’s commitment to consumer protection and strict enforcement of the legal framework for gambling in Spain, especially against unauthorized operators that jeopardize player safety.”
