OpenAI has announced that it is working on a new version of its artificial intelligence-based application. However, the results of this update are more modest than in previous versions, Business Insider writes.

The journalists note that against the background of previous large-scale leaps, Orion shows much less development than GPT-4. According to experts, this may mean that AI development is approaching a plateau – a certain period of stagnation with no breakthrough innovations.

“This is a sign that future generations of AI models that have helped companies attract billions of dollars in investments and received high marks may look less impressive with each iteration,” the journalists note.

Among the reasons they mention is the fact that companies have exhausted all the resources for training AI-based bots available on the Internet. One solution for developers may be to analyze the content created by AI itself. However, according to experts, this process is also fraught with problems.
