АІ in iGaming:Artificial intelligence is changing the way you search for information online
A recent investigation by Investigate Europe revealed that AI is indeed changing the way people search for information online.
Chatbots are redirecting Europeans to illegal online casinos. It was also found that, in addition to this, artificial intelligence was suggesting ways to bypass age verification and self-exclusion systems.
Journalists decided to test some chatbots. They sent them queries related to the issue in various languages. The results showed that nearly 75% of the chatbot responses contained links to unlicensed casino websites and other gambling-related platforms.
Experts are concerned because this development of neural networks is truly alarming. They argue that by playing at unlicensed online casinos, users are putting themselves at risk. They lower the level of personal data protection, encounter opaque service operations, and risk becoming victims of fraudsters.
Additionally, artificial intelligence suggests ways to circumvent various restrictions, including age limits. This immediately raises the issue of gambling’s spread among children.
This development of chatbots and AI in online search systems creates even more challenges for regulators. Legislators in European countries have decided to actively combat this to protect consumers from developing gambling addiction and falling prey to scammers.
