How to pass Facebook moderation: we explain using Cloaking.House as an example

Moderation is something that often disrupts the work of webmasters when it comes to gray offers. So it’s no surprise that many specialists are looking for new ways to bypass checks, and traffic cloaking remains one of the most common and effective options.

In this article, AFFHUB explains how to reduce the number of account bans using the Cloaking.House service and ultimately set up an advertising campaign on Facebook without unnecessary hassle.

Why you should use Cloaking.House when working with gray verticals

As we have already mentioned, cloaking remains one of the most common and effective ways to bypass bans. After all, it redirects advertising platform moderators to “white page” landing pages that comply with community rules. Meanwhile, real users, the target audience, are directed to the page with the offer.

Many may find this process too complicated. And we won’t lie if we say that it’s absolutely easy for beginners. However, using reliable services such as Cloaking.House, the process of setting up cloaking can take you 10 minutes. All thanks to the convenient and at the same time extremely flexible functionality of the service.

Artificial intelligence simplifies all processes and provides better protection from moderators, spy services, and competitors. And the significant number of clicks processed every day trains artificial intelligence, improving its functionality.

Other advantages of the service include:

  • The ability to integrate with API;
  • A flexible filtering system;
  • Two types of integration available – via PHP and ready-made cloaking links;
  • The “AI White Page” feature, which allows you to generate a White Page in a few clicks;
  • Four types of plans for various needs and capabilities of webmasters.

How to set up cloaking in Cloaking.House

Well, let’s move on from words to deeds and figure out how to create cloaking via PHP and a ready-made link.

PHP integration

To get started, you need to prepare hosting that supports PHP version 7.4+, a domain name, and a white page. By the way, the latter can be generated in the “AI White Page” tab for only $5. After that, it can be downloaded to the file manager and used freely.

After setting up the white page, go to the “Streams” tab and click “Create Stream.” Then there are only three steps left to complete the setup. In the first one, specify the name of the stream, for example, the name of the offer. In the “white page” tab, specify the name of the root index file that you install on the hosting. And in the “Offer Page” tab, add a link to your landing page.

The next step is to move on to setting up filters. It is worth dwelling on this in more detail:

  • Cloaking — this filter is responsible for whether cloaking works. If you disable it, moderation will go directly to the “Offer Page”;
  • Black IP — this filter is triggered when the system has previously detected unwanted transitions from specific IP addresses.
  • Block transitions from VPN/Proxy – this filter is triggered when the client’s IP address is identified as a proxy server. Simply put, cloaking will disable anyone using a VPN or proxy;
  • Block transitions from IPv6 – this filter is triggered when the client’s address is identified as IPv6;
  • Block traffic without ISP – this filter is triggered when it is impossible to identify the Internet provider based on the client’s IP address.
  • Block traffic without Referrer – this filter is triggered when it is impossible to identify the client’s referrer, or when the client follows a link that was entered directly into the search bar.

The following items allow you to restrict certain users more specifically. In particular:

  • Number of clicks from one IP per day – this filter limits the number of transitions from one IP per day. Once the limit is reached, users will be redirected to a white page. If the value in this line is “0”, then this number is not limited;
  • Number of clicks before filtering – here you can set the number of allowed clicks, within which users will be redirected to a white page. Once the limit is reached, users will be filtered;
  • Countries – enter the GEOs required for your offer here. All other GEOs will be directed to a white page;
  • Devices – this works when it is impossible to identify the client’s device based on its user agent, or if the device is not allowed in the stream settings. The “Operating system” and “Browsers” items work in the same way.

In addition, it is possible to add additional parameters for filtering:

  • by the user’s browser language;
  • by the time zone determined by the user’s IP address;
  • by the type of the user’s Internet connection.

It is also possible to add additional filters using personal filter lists.

After clicking the “Save” button, we move on to the last item, where we can pause or activate the cloak. In addition, you can manually add IPs to the Whitelist here — these addresses will always be shown the offer page.

That’s it, actually. Save it and we can move on to integration. To do this, go to “Streams”, download the newly configured file and add it to the hosting.

Ready link

Now let’s try to configure streams via the ready link. There is a significant advantage here, which is that you don’t need to use third-party hosting. You only need to specify the white page and offer page addresses.

Before you start, you need to purchase a domain. By the way, this can also be done directly in Cloaking.House, which is much easier. To do this, go to the “Domains” tab and click “Purchase domain.” The cost is $10.

After that, go to the “Streams” tab. The next algorithm of actions is, in fact, similar to the previous one. Only on the first tab in the “White Page” section, instead of the name of the root index file, specify a link to the white page.

Next, go to the file download menu and get a ready-made link from the parked domain.

Setting up an advertising campaign on Facebook

Cloaking is set up. Now how do you run ads on FB and not cry over evil, biting moderation?

To get started, you will need:

  • Cloaking (Cloaking.House)
  • Domain + hosting under White Page
  • Pay2.house payment system
  • Facebook farm account (a farm is best, not an autoreg)
  • Anti-detect browser
  • Proxy

Anti-detect browser

First, you will need to purchase a Facebook account. We would like to note right away that it is best to use a farm account rather than an auto-registration account.

Next, we will move on to creating a profile in the anti-detect browser. Log in and click “Create Profile.”

More details about the settings:

  • First, specify the profile name.
  • Next, move on to the proxy settings. Add the proxy of the country where the account was created. This will increase your trust rating with moderators.
  • Go to the tab to add cookies, and you can leave all other profile settings unchanged.

Click “Create Profile” and it will appear on the main page of the anti-detect browser.

In your profile, you need to check your Facebook login. Cookies will make the login happen automatically. However, if not, you can find the login and password in the documentation for the purchased account.

Warming up

Here are some tips to help you warm up your account better (remember that quality warming up = increased trust from Facebook 🤫).

  • Do not create a campaign immediately after launching your profile. Let the account rest for about a day. Only then can you start advertising.
  • Your behavior should look like you are a real user who habitually scrolls through their feed. It is important to show some activity during the first launch. For example: scrolling through the feed, liking posts, replying to messages, etc. But don’t overdo it, because excessive activity can also backfire and lead to a ban 🫣
  • When you log in for the first time, don’t give any hints about advertising. Remember: you are a regular user 😉.

Business Manager

Once you have completed all of the above steps and finished the basic setup of your account, you can create or link a purchased business manager.

What to do next?

You need to follow the invitation link from the seller from your farm account.

In the window that appears, enter the name that will be displayed in BM and click “Continue.” Accept the invitation.

Go to settings and grant rights in “People.” Click “Assign objects” and select “Full access.” Now you can go to the “Advertising accounts” section and create an advertising campaign.

To create a campaign, click “Add,” select “Create a new advertising account,” specify the name and currency, change the time zone if desired, add other settings, and proceed to add a payment method in billing.

Pay2house card

Let’s say right away that it is better to choose UK cards for FB.

How to link a card to FB?

Go to “My Cards” and get the details. Return to Facebook and go to billing. Select the BM from which you will make the deposit and add the payment method you just created on Pay2house. Enter your card details and click “Save.”

Setting up an advertising campaign

Go to Ads Manager and create an advertising campaign.

Next, configure the settings:

Type: “Auction”

Goal: according to your task.

Go to the “Ad groups” settings. In the conversion destination field, you can leave the website, for example. Objective: maximum number of conversions. In the data set, create a Pixel, and in “Conversion event,” select “Lead.”

Pixel integration

Integrating the Pixel code into the offer page is one of the most important steps.

We do this so that Facebook can read conversions and transfer them to the advertising account to optimize the campaign.

There are two options:

  • The first is to integrate the full Pixel code into the offer page. But this can complicate successful moderation, as Facebook will read unnecessary data that is better to hide.
  • The second is to integrate a truncated Pixel code that will collect only conversions and nothing else. This will help protect the offer page from being banned.

So, now add the ID of your newly created Pixel to this code. Next, integrate it into the offer page on the hosting.

Go to the file manager in the offer page subdomain on the hosting and open the “success php” file. Add the truncated pixel code before the “head” tag. Done 😉

You can check if it works well in Pixel event testing: Insert the offer page subdomain and click “Test event.” Next, leave a request on the site and return to the testing tab. Here you can see if the work is successful.

Continue setting up the advertising campaign

Specify the daily budget. We set it to $20.

Below, you can schedule the start date and time of the campaign.

Audience parameters: Here, you specify everything according to your offer. Specify the GEO offer and be sure to switch from the “Advantage+” audience to the initial audience settings.

Why?

The thing is, Advantage+ is an automatic audience where Facebook itself decides who to show ads to. So it may show ads to a target audience that is not entirely correct and may not be suitable for your offer. The initial settings allow you to specify all the necessary data yourself.

For “Placements,” it is also worth choosing manual settings.

Click “Next” and proceed to the last step of setting up your ad campaign. If you don’t have Instagram, select “Use Facebook Page” and add a link to White Page below. It is on the wait page that we have integrated a cloak that will filter visitors according to the specified settings and direct the desired target audience to the Offer Page subdomain.

Add creatives (remember: they must be without triggers so that they are not rejected by moderation).

And finally, the ad campaign is ready. Click “Publish” and go have some tea, because the cloak will do everything for us, and we won’t have to worry about getting banned anymore. 🤫
