Binance Stops Providing Services to EU Customers: Here's What We Know
The Binance cryptocurrency exchange will stop providing services to EU customers starting next week. This is due to the inability to obtain the necessary license to operate in the region, according to the Financial Times.
Starting July 1, 2026, MiCA requirements will take full effect in the EU: crypto exchanges, brokers, and crypto wallets without the appropriate license will lose the right to serve customers from EU countries.
The new rules are intended to strengthen oversight of the crypto market, increase the transparency of crypto companies’ operations, and provide better protection for investors. Therefore, to continue operating, Binance must obtain a license by the end of the month.
